"The RVFD Fire Education series is very good and well produced. The makers of RVFD are doing a very righteous thing, teaching children across the nation valuable fire safety lessons."

"...the cartoons/animations were great...I've written a couple books and I don't use pictures...I use cartoons.  I think everyone likes cartoons better."

" The RVFD Education Series has solid basic content for fire safety, I highly recommend it for any educator."

“The RVFD Fire Education Series has a good solid fire message and it’s delivered for kids in the 21st century… the animation is the type of viewing that the kids have grown accustomed to.  The series is more eye catching for the kids.”

“Don’t get me wrong, some of the old fire safety messages were good messages, but there hasn’t been a good, new approach on teaching fire safety, so our kids have been seeing the same videos over and over again.  RVFD is a fresh approach.”

“We can utilize the RVFD Educational Series both in the classroom and at the fire stations.  When kids come to us, we will have different choices now.  Before RVFD, the kids would always see the same thing.  Now we have a great variety.”

“The RVFD Educational Series is a great investment.  You get a quality video for a low price.  It’s incredible quality, delivering an incredible message all with a comfortable price tag.”

“The video is very appealing to the children.  The characters are wholesome, fun and interesting and share a great family value message.”

“The series has characters that children can emulate.  The characters become the kids little heroes and make-believe friends.

"One of the best visual materials that's come out in fire prevention in a long time."
"I need to see if I can get this to our cable access station."
"It appeals to all audiences...any age group should be able to watch without it being beneath them."

"The first thing that impressed me was the Pixar-like cartoons.  Those will keep kids' interest."

"Kids are audio and visual learners...but mostly learn by sight.  With its animation, RVFD is a great way to enhance their learning of fire safety."

"The first thing that impressed me, when you think of cartoons, is the old 2-D.  Typically the older things lose kids' interest.  With this series, it keeps their interest and their ability to learn"

"Compared to other programs, the price tag is appealing"

"It's pleasant to watch for adults...I like the idea and the way it flowed"

"We bought the RVFD Educational series, based on the quality of what we saw on the non-fire safety service related program.  We figured if the life-learning issues were so professionally done, we had no reason to believe the fire safety version wouldn't be professional as well."

"We have been looking for something to take to the younger grade levels here at Buffalo Grove.  We previewed the program and felt this is going to be perfect for our 2nd and 3rd graders."

" I think the RVFD Educational series is a perfect eye opener for children.  It is lively and the messages are current.  I believe once the kids see it, they will enthusiastically embrace the firefighter presenting the video and embrace the message the firefighter brings with it."

"I would encourage anyone to purchase this educational series if their intent is working with the younger educational levels... especially if the educator is trying to get their foot in the door in the less prosperous school systems."

"We would like to get the RVFD Educational series on the cable network here in Buffalo Groves."

Justin Sims
Director of Public Education and Community Relations
Indianapolis Fire Department

"The series is new.  It's always nice to have something new as kids are attracted to cartoon characters.  Also, the interaction between real living humans and cartoons is great since it adds an extra element to the series."

"The characters are attractive and appealing.  The characters are friendly and the faces are pleasant.  Our students will see them as friendly and approachable."

"This is a new way to reach kids.  We are getting stale in our approach and whenever we get stale or complacent, we're not reaching the kids we need to.  Hopefully, with this new approach we will reach and teach these kids about fire safety."

"I think the price-point is good.  For the whole package, it's a great price compared to other vendors.  It's also very affordable for fire departments even smaller than us and on a smaller budget.  The series covers a variety of topics and can be used in many different venues."

"When I looked at the RVFD Educational Series at the FDIC, I found it appealing because of the animation.  We are always looking for new stuff for our kids and not a whole lot has been put out over the past few years for educators.  This new animation is an attention getter for kids."

"With the characters and the layout, this is something new.  Typically in the past, we've had some older videos.  These are current and up-to-date."

"I think we'll get a better response from our students as it will keep the kids attention a little better."

"I would suggest anyone considering this series to really take a good look at this.  It really has a lot to offer educators and the students."

Fire Prevention Week has never been so easy to incorporate into our school year!  Now, we can reinforce this life-saving education for Pre-K to third grade students year round, not just once a year. Thank you for the colorful 3D presentation from the characters that live in Rainbow Valley.  The DVDs are educational, easy to incorporate into our schedule and lots of fun for students to watch and discuss.

I tried out the RVFD DVD on my nieces.  All they will now do is scream that they want to watch Rainbow Valley Fire Department.  They love it.  Their favorite saying now from the RVFD is... “911- We have an emergency!”
"I've been looking for educational DVD's for a long time.  There haven’t been any great DVD’s out lately that compare to how Rainbow Valley reaches its target audience. I am so surprised at the reception in the daycares and pre-schools.  Even though I thought the series would be geared for a bit older age, I was pleasantly surprised how easily the three year olds took to RVFD and how much they love the characters. This is exactly what I've been looking for and it's working.  I'm really excited about RVFD."
