As if the actual event of a fire isn’t scary enough, the equipment that our brave fire fighters use during a rescue can seem even scarier. To a child hiding in a closet during a fire, the sight of a fire fighter wearing a mask and bunk gear can be paralyzing. In this episode, the RVFD gang will visit a real fire station where kids will learn all about a fire fighter’s gear including how each piece of equipment works and what fire fighters look like while performing their critical tasks.
• Types of jobs: Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Driver.
• Bunker gear: pants, coat and boots.
• Learn how an air tank and mask works.
• Watch fire fighters train and learn how to use the gear.
• Don’t be afraid of the firefighters—they are there to help you! |
